Portable Ventilator Blower Fan

Heavy-duty all-metal portable axial blowers (PVT-20/8" to PVT-60/24") engineered for temporary ducted exhaust and fresh air supply with flexible spiral ducting across construction sites, workshops, maintenance vaults, and industrial facilities in Saudi Arabia.

In brief

Ducted ventilation vs. open circulation

The PVT portable axial ventilator blower is engineered specifically for temporary ducted exhaust and fresh air supply using flexible PVC spiral ducting. It develops 200 to 800 Pa static pressure to overcome duct friction in construction fit-outs, maintenance vaults, welding bays, and equipment drying. For broad, open-area worker cooling without ductwork, select the HVF Industrial Portable Drum Fan. Need open-area warehouse cooling? View HVF Industrial Drum Fans.

Confined-Space & Hazardous-Atmosphere Safety Boundary

CONFINED-SPACE & HAZARDOUS-ATMOSPHERE SAFETY BOUNDARY: Confined-space work requires a site-specific permit, atmospheric gas testing, continuous monitoring, trained supervision, and suitable duct placement. A portable fan alone does not make entry safe. Standard PVT fans feature standard electric motors and are NOT explosion-proof; do NOT use them in flammable, explosive (ATEX/IECEx), volatile solvent, or combustible dust atmospheres unless an engineered, explosion-proof unit is explicitly certified and provided.

Special Duty & Non-Duct Limitations
Hazardous Exclusions / Not For Free-Air Circulation
  • Flammable vapors, fuel storage areas, or ATEX/IECEx explosive zones (standard motors not explosion-proof)
  • Highly corrosive acid vapors or high-temperature airstreams (standard casing is painted carbon steel)

Duct Engineering & Selection

Selection Guide: Ducted Blower vs. Drum Fan

Key engineering principles for flexible duct placement, pressure drops, and electrical safety on Saudi Arabian job sites.

PVT Ducted Blower vs. HVF Drum Fan
PVT ventilators develop static pressure (200 to 800 Pa) to drive air through long flexible duct runs. For open warehouse aisles or large workshop areas without ducting, use an HVF drum fan which provides higher CFM at zero static pressure.
Supply Air vs. Exhaust Air Duct Placement
For fresh air delivery, place the fan outdoors in clean ambient air and duct inward into the working chamber. For contaminated air exhaust (welding fumes, dust), place the duct intake close to the source and blow outdoors, ensuring exhausted air does not recirculate.
Duct Friction Loss vs. Delivered CFM
Published airflow values represent open discharge. Flexible spiral ducting creates friction losses of approximately 15 to 30 Pa per 5-meter section, plus 20 to 40 Pa per 90° bend. Delivered airflow decreases as total duct length and bend count increase.
Electrical Supply & Jobsite Protection
Single-phase 220–240V 50/60Hz supply. Ensure adequate branch circuit capacity: PVT-20 to 30 require 1.0–2.5A, while high-power PVT-40 to 60 models draw 7.0–10.0A. Use RCD/GFCI protected circuits on all damp or exterior construction jobsites.

FAQ

PVT Portable Ventilator Questions

Frequently asked questions by MEP contractors, site safety officers, workshop managers, and plant supervisors in Saudi Arabia.

A portable ventilator (PVT series) has a narrow cylindrical casing with duct collar lips and develops 200 to 800 Pa static pressure to push or pull air through flexible ductwork. A drum fan (HVF series) is an open-frame fan designed for free-air circulation and spot cooling across wide spaces; it cannot connect to ductwork and cannot overcome duct resistance.
